Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT is a mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral therapy that utilizes an eclectic mix of metaphor, paradox, and mindfulness skills, along with a wide range of experiential exercises and values-guided behavioral interventions. Below is the ACT Hexaflex illustrative model followed by a sample of various experiential ACT exercises. Exercises are first grouped by each of the six core ACT processes.
