Fees and Insurance

Forms, Fees and Insurance

UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSURANCE BENEFIT

Health insurance is a benefit that has been bought and paid for, usually by your employer, to help cover your medical needs.  While most people opt to use their benefits to utilize mental health services, some opt to pay ‘out-of-pocket’ due to privacy issues and/or added flexibility of services.

Each individual insurance policy offers a a different level of benefits that effects the actual cost to you.  Fees such as deductibles, co-insurance and co-pays are an important part of understanding your benefit and knowing just how much therapy services will cost.

If you are using your insurance to cover mental health sessions call the number on the back of your card and ask about your benefit – typically referred to mental health or behavioral health services.  Asking about deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance, as well as preferred provider networks can help you understand your out-of-pocket costs and avoid unexpected fees.

Fees

Initial Evaluation (CPT 90791)         $175

Individual Therapy  (CPT 90837)    $160

Brief Session (CPT 90834)                 $135

  • These are the fees you will pay if you decide to pay out-of-pocket.  If you are using your insurance, each individual policy has negotiated rates that are likely to differ from the fees above.
